Job summary

FastTek is seeking a Senior Project Manager in Lansing, MI to support the Michigan Department of Corrections within the DTMB EPMO. The PM will lead large-scale IT initiatives in Agile and traditional environments, coordinating with state agencies and vendors to deliver on time and within budget.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Project Manager.
• 8+ years managing projects > $20M.
• 8+ years IT projects in a large enterprise environment.
• 8+ years managing vendors/third-party providers.
• Demonstrated leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and organizational skills.
• Experience leading multiple concurrent projects with minimal supervision.
• Experience handling variety of stakeholders and system/business owners from other departments.
• Experience managing multi-vendor environment in a government environment.
• Experience providing PM services for IT Projects involving COTS.
• Oversee technical teams with system architecture and integration across SaaS solutions.

Responsibilities

• Use Clarity to prepare project schedules, assign resources and manage budgets.
• Prepare information for presentations for executives, managers and project team members.
• Monitor, control, and communicate project progress across cost, schedule, scope, resources, quality, and risks.
• Communicate with stakeholders, sponsors, project teams, program managers, and DTMB management on status.
• Lead and foster collaboration between technical and business teams; obtain consensus and commitment.
• Manage interfaces with other agencies.
• Ensure adherence to methodologies and lifecycle phases.
• Facilitate Change Management and Change Requests with proper approvals.
• Understand benefits and impact of change requests on business cases; update artifacts accordingly.
• Review vendor contracts; manage deliverables and approval procedures.
• Coordinate stakeholder interactions to ensure deliverables are assigned, reviewed, and completed.
