Job summary

Atkinson Seattle is seeking a Project Manager to be the principal company representative on the project site, overseeing the entirety of a project. You will create a project plan outlining tasks, timelines, and resources to achieve goals, and guide communication among stakeholders.

You will manage risk, monitor progress against schedule and budget, and lead a team with a strong focus on safety culture, client relations, revenue tracking, and accurate cost forecasting.

Qualifications

• 8–10 years of engineering and general contracting experience on $30M to $250M+ projects.
• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related discipline.
• High degree of initiative, independence and integrity.
• Willingness to speak up, listen, and learn from others.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment.

Responsibilities

• Champion and influence safety culture on the project.
• Ensure team understands safety accountabilities and responsibilities.
• Pre-plan to address risks and avoid accidents.
• Walk the project with foremen and crew for accountability.
• Make on-the-spot adjustments when needed.
• Address safety culture issues promptly and follow up actions.
• Maintain client relations and focus on client needs.
• Track revenue and report on project performance.
• Ensure accurate estimated costs to complete and forecast.
• Plan early to address production and quality concerns.
• Make timely, strategic decisions to keep the project moving.
• Contribute to winning new work through estimating and proposals.
• Familiar with state and local compliance requirements.
• Communicate clearly and hold the team accountable for deadlines.
• Negotiate with a win-win approach and manage insurance considerations.
• Keep stakeholders informed throughout the project.
