Job summary

Atkinson Underground/Civil is seeking a Project Engineer in Washington, DC to support scheduling, cost engineering, subcontract coordination, and overall project administration on heavy civil construction sites. You will collaborate with site managers and field personnel to ensure safety, quality, and timely delivery of objectives.

The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field and 3-5 years of relevant experience, with strong communication and a proactive, team-oriented

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years of relevant heavy civil construction project experience.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and safety alignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative and technical services in scheduling, cost engineering, and subcontract coordination.
• Support project management team with field and office coordination.
• Maintain accurate budgets, forecasts, and reporting; assist with change orders and requisitions.
