Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Sunnyvale, CA is seeking a Principal Project Manager / Sr. Principal Project Manager to lead the Regional Strike Launcher Program Office as an individual contributor.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a broad skill set across interpersonal, business, and technical domains, collaborate across teams, and maintain the highest standards of ethics and integrity while effectively engaging with internal and external customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with minimum 5 years of relevant work experience, OR a Master's with 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in Program/Project Management, CAM Responsibilities and EVMS knowledge.
• Experience working closely with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required
• Bachelor's degree with minimum 8 years of relevant work experience, OR a Master's with 6+ years of relevant work experience
• Experience in Program/Project Management, CAM Responsibilities and EVMS knowledge
• Experience working closely with multiple functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Field Operations, etc.).
• The ability to obtain and maintain a US Government secret clearance.
• U.S. citizenship required

Responsibilities

• Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project teams, and functional management.
• Reviews status of projects and budgets; manages schedules and prepares status reports.
• Assesses project issues and develops resolutions to meet productivity, quality, and customer-satisfaction goals and objectives.
• Develops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solving with project managers, functional teams, and customers.
