Job summary

Northrop Grumman is seeking a Principal Project Management/Sr. Principal Project Management (Level 3 or 4) to join our Mission Systems team.

This individual contributor role involves coordinating with internal and external teams in high-tempo environments, reviewing project status and budgets, and supporting administrative functions. The position requires strong data analytics, proficiency with MS Office, and experience leading multiple projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of professional experience OR Master’s with 3 years OR PhD with 1 year.
• Active secret US Government clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI and SAP clearance.
• Strong data analytics skills and ability to create and utilize metrics.
• Proficiency with PowerPoint, Word, Excel and SharePoint.
• Experience leading a project and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Support the program to deliver monthly metrics, deliverables, and presentations.
• Collaborate across functions to meet objectives and schedules.
• Support strategic planning with emphasis on quality and productivity.
• Maintain data, visibility, and metrics for deliveries.
• Facilitate internal meetings with stakeholders to support schedules and activities.
• Develop and deliver briefings to Program Leadership.
• Identify opportunities for changes and champion them within the organization.
• Capture and manage Action Items to completion.
• Use tools/templates to monitor project progress.
• Work independently with latitude to determine objectives and approaches.
• Manage schedules and prepare status reports.
• Establish proactive rhythm for readiness for deadlines.
• Develop mechanisms for monitoring progress and intervention with project managers and clients.
