Qualifications

• US citizenship is required for this position due to federal contract requirements.
• BS in Engineering or Project Management or equivalent experience.
• 5–10 years of experience managing government projects preferred.
• Experience in managing R&D projects for engineered products preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, standards and specs.
• Ability to read and interpret purchase orders and customer specifications.
• Up to 10% travel yearly.
• Proficient with Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project and the Internet.
• Strong interpersonal, leadership, communication, and organization skills.
• Detail oriented with personal initiative and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary customer contact and ensure satisfaction post-contract award.
• Define scope of supply and establish milestones with Engineering Manager.
• Track contract status through engineering, procurement, manufacturing, testing, and shipping.
• Coordinate with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Sales, Test, and Engineering.
• Negotiate changes to contracts, submittals, delivery expectations, and pricing.
• Communicate progress, risks, and mitigation plans; document delays and changes.
• Prepare monthly revenue forecasts for the OE Group with the program manager.
• Lead meetings and manage multiple projects using formal planning methods.
• Maintain contract files and generate regular status reports.
• Coordinate packaging, shipping, progress payments, and final invoices.
• Develop post-shipment reviews and implement improvement ideas.
