Job summary

Hayward Tyler, Inc. in Michigan seeks a Project Manager within the Design Value Stream to ensure customer interface, execution, and on-time shipment of engineered products.

You will coordinate with Engineering, Purchasing, Production, and Quality to meet contract milestones, manage risks, and maintain clear communication with customers throughout the project lifecycle.

US Citizenship is required by federal contract rules. Travel up to 10% may be needed as projects require on-site coordination.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or Project Management or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience managing government projects in a project/contract-based business.
• Experience in managing research and development projects in engineered products.
• Ability to read & interpret engineering drawings, standards and specifications.
• Expected travel up to 10% yearly.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, MS Project and the Internet.
• Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary point of contact with the customer and manage communications and satisfaction after contract award.
• Define the scope of supply for awarded contracts and collaborate with Engineering to set milestones and priorities.
• Understand status across engineering, job creation, procurement, manufacturing, testing and shipping stages.
• Interface with Operations, Supply Chain, Planning, Quality, Sales, Test, and Engineering to meet contract objectives.
• Coordinate product packaging and shipping per contract requirements; track progress payments and invoices.
