Job summary

Stratus® is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee engineering projects from conception to completion. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedule, and budget, and serve as the main client liaison.

The role requires mentoring junior staff and coordinating with internal teams, consultants, and contractors to ensure design integration and compliance. You will drive proposals, manage resource allocation, and maintain project profitability while upholding industry

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• 5-7+ years of experience in design engineering, project management, or engineering consulting.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects with schedule, budget, and quality objectives.
• Proficiency with Deltek, Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
• Experience identifying project risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Strong leadership with the ability to guide multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience mentoring technical staff and cross-team collaboration.
• Solid understanding of project delivery from planning through closeout.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering projects from concept through construction to meet goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, and resource plans aligned to client objectives.
• Manage and lead a team of 4-5 engineers.
• Serve as primary client contact, providing regular progress updates.
• Coordinate with internal teams, consultants, and contractors for integrated design.
• Oversee preparation of drawings, calculations, and technical documents.
• Conduct regular project meetings to review progress and risks.
• Assist in managing project financials and ensure profitability.
• Collaborate with leadership on proposals and client presentations.
• Ensure compliance with codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
