Job summary

Alliant Energy is seeking a Lead Project Manager to provide strategic leadership for large, complex construction programs that strengthen reliability and support growing energy demand. You will guide sponsors, customers, and project teams through the lifecycle and ensure alignment with portfolio goals.

Responsibilities include conducting stage gates, governance support, and process improvements. The role requires strong leadership, collaboration, and a proactive approach to risk and change

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Project Management, Information Technology, Engineering, or related area.
• PMP certification is preferred / required.
• 8 years professional experience in program or project management.

Responsibilities

• Conducts project stage gate and periodic quality reviews for high risk, costly, value-added, or large, complex projects.
• Supports program and project governance responsibilities.
• Promotes PM methodology processes and tools through updated processes and training.
• Provides understanding of program and project management to sponsors and stakeholders.
• Guides project managers through the project lifecycle and portfolio.
• Escalates portfolio risks and triages to steer initiatives back on track.
• Supports strategic alignment, benefits management, stakeholder engagement, integration, and program risk management.
• Mentors others in organizational change management within PM context.
