Qualifications

• Experience leading and/or managing small projects or portions of larger projects.
• Experience with cross-functional, multi-dimensional teams.
• Solid knowledge of project lifecycles, methodologies, and requirements analysis.
• Experience working with all levels of staff, management, and vendors.
• Knowledge of contracts, language, scope, and risk management.
• Proficiency with PCs and project management software.
• Strong planning, organization, and problem solving skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build relationships with stakeholders and vendors.
• Demonstrated ability to present findings clearly to stakeholders and management.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensures effective management of projects from inception through implementation
• Defines, develops and executes project plans, including scope definition, expectations, activities, cost estimates, and schedules
• Works with the business group to determine and understand business requirements
• Manages projects from concept through planning, analysis, design, testing, implementation, and transition phases
• Develops clear and concise "big picture" of projects within Navy Federal organizational goals
• Directs and leads Project Teams by developing and coordinating work plans, schedules, milestones, deliverables, and training
• Manages project budgets including risk and impact of changes to project plans
• Identifies and minimizes project risks or constraints that would impact project deliverables
• Identifies, communicates, and resolves cross-organizational concerns that may impede or impact other projects/initiatives
• Maintains/archives project documentation
• Ensures project deliverables are met in accordance with customers' expectations
• Sets, manages, and communicates client expectations for the project
• Oversees project progress to ensure documentation and schedules meet requirements
• Identifies, escalates and resolves issues ensuring deliverables conform to standards
• Monitors and controls risks to ensure timelines and goals are met
• Facilitates project team and client meetings for issue resolution
• Provides project status reports to management
• Ensures success of projects by working with Procurement regarding vendor contracts
• Works closely with Procurement to define contracts, scope, and risk management
• Manages contracts' quality assurance, including contract administration and execution
• Manages contract budget, cost control mechanisms and Change control
• Serves as primary point of contact for project management and related issues
• Secures resources and ensures optimum utilization to meet budget
• Allocates project team assignments and training
• Executes and communicates project plan and priorities
• Establishes team objectives and provides feedback
• Promotes team building and skills development
• Manages multiple, moderately complex projects
• Solves moderate to complex project-related problems
• Interacts with management concerning projects
• Participates with management in researching and selecting vendors
• Recommends improvements across divisions
• Builds relationships with management and stakeholders
