Job summary

Pickett is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead complex engineering projects for public-owned and investor-owned electric utilities across a portfolio. You will oversee delivery, budget, and client satisfaction while mentoring teams and supporting business development.

You will coordinate between engineering leads, project controls, accounting, and client leadership to ensure timely deliverables and profitability. Some travel is required.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience managing engineering or infrastructure projects.
• PE or PMP certification is required.
• Experience managing large or complex projects for electric utilities.
• Strong leadership, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Ability to mentor and develop junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a portfolio of engineering projects for electric utilities.
• Provide leadership for project execution including scope, schedule, budget, quality, and safety.
• Oversee financial performance and profitability and develop recovery plans when needed.
• Serve as primary client relationship manager and identify opportunities for additional services.
• Mentor project managers, engineers, and project staff to enhance capabilities.
• Lead multidisciplinary teams and promote collaboration across functions.
• Assist with proposal development and RFP responses.
• Collaborate with Marketing to expand client relationships.

Education

Bachelors Degree in Civil, Mechanical or related engineering discipline
