Job summary

Vanir is seeking a Senior Project Manager to provide overall planning, coordination, and direction for PM activities from project identification through closeout, with a focus on Education sector construction.

The role may supervise staff including project/field managers and engineers, requiring extensive experience in master planning, contracts, and cost control. Strong communication and leadership are essential for successful owner liaison and project execution.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, architecture, or equivalent.
• 12+ years as a Project Manager and 3+ years as a Senior PM supervising staff.
• Advanced knowledge of master planning, A/E solicitation, project development, design-phase management, construction estimating, cost controls/scheduling, documentation, and delivery methods.
• Thorough understanding of contracts, drawings, specifications, and project accounting, cost, administration, and personnel interaction.
• Strong computer skills; experience with MS Office and project-related systems such as Prolog and Primavera.

Responsibilities

• Primary contact and liaison for owner and partner entities for contract, design, systems, procedures and related deliverables.
• Develops project-specific procedures and documentation; consults with Owner on design and construction contracts and related A/E systems for the project.
• Ensures contracts, drawings, estimates, and specifications comply with construction/project requirements.
• Obtains, maintains, and manages data, information, communications, and approvals between owner, architects, engineers, and other project-related entities.
• Represents owner, project and related parties in public forums and meetings.
• Manages project controls, cost, and performance activities and procedures, project logistics, organization, systems and project closeout.
• Leads in project meetings to include documentation, administration, and tracking of relevant information and statuses.
• Coordinates, directs, and monitors activities of construction management staff, contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.
• Ensures project team adheres to safety requirements.
• Manages bid phase services, as may be required by the client.
• Performs other duties as required.
