Kitchell seeks an experienced and dedicated Project Manager II to join our Bay Area region in South San Francisco and build a long-term career at one of the most innovative and growth-oriented building companies in the United States.

Provide PM/CM services as an owner’s representative on a Division of State Architect (DSA) k-12 education market sector program or projects in California, with on-site responsibilities in the greater South San Francisco area.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline preferred.
• 8+ years in vertical construction, with 5+ years as Project or Construction Manager.
• Experience in the California public education market sector under DSA oversight required.

Responsibilities

• Provide PM/CM consultant services for the owner in California education market sector.
• Ensure operations follow PM procedures and policies.
• Ensure delivery and adherence to contractual requirements and owner contracts.
• Manage procurement phase and development of RFQs and RFPs.
• Oversee contracts, drawings, estimates, and specs for compliance.
• Coordinate and monitor contractors, engineers, architects, and related performing entities.
• Manage project controls, cost, schedule, and performance activities.
• Identify and mitigate project risk in consultation with regional leadership.
• Actively participate in internal teams focused on continuous improvement.
• Enforce health and safety policies and fairness in enforcement.
