Kitchell in San Diego seeks an experienced Program Director to lead a PM/CM Services team for the K-14 education market in Southern California, with a long-term career path at a growing, innovative construction company.

The role oversees all phases of the program, budget, schedule, risk, and client relations, ensuring quality, safety, and contract compliance while pursuing business development opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture preferred.
• 12 years of experience in management of construction projects required.
• Experience leading internal teams of 5+ individuals required.
• Minimum 5 years of DSA experience required.
• Knowledge of the AEC industry and networks required.
• Effective presentation skills to end users, stakeholders, and board required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Directs, leads, and is accountable for all phases of projects within the program.
• Ensures program operations align with PM procedures and policies.
• Plans, directs, and is accountable for program revenue and profit objectives and overhead costs.
• Maintains client satisfaction and resolves complaints to secure repeat business.
• Oversees budgets, schedules, and master program schedules.
• Oversees preconstruction and construction progress and team performance.
• Manages risk and informs regional executives before mitigation actions.
• Supports proposals and business development for new work.
