Job summary

Tetra Tech in Denver, CO is seeking a Project Manager with strong dam and water resources expertise to lead project delivery across Colorado and the Rocky Mountain West. You will manage multidisciplinary teams, support client relationships, and contribute to business development.

The role requires 10+ years of experience, a Colorado PE license (or ability to obtain within six months), and a track record of delivering complex dam projects. Hybrid work schedule and regional travel offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in the industry with knowledge of market trends and project delivery.
• Active PE license in Colorado, or ability to obtain within six months of hire.
• Experience managing engineering projects including scope, schedule, budget and delivery oversight.
• Strong background in dams project delivery including planning, rehabilitation, design coordination and permitting support.
• Ability to review technical work and provide leadership guidance.
• Experience building client relationships and supporting business development and repeat work.
• Strong communication and presentation skills for engaging clients and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead medium-to-large dam and water resources projects from planning through delivery, ensuring strong execution across scope, schedule, budget, quality, and risk management.
• Serve as primary client relationship manager for key accounts, building trusted partnerships and repeat business.
• Direct multidisciplinary teams across civil, structural, geotechnical, hydraulic, hydrologic, and environmental disciplines.
• Support business development through proposal development, scope/fee prep, client outreach, and opportunity identification.
• Oversee and review technical deliverables, including modeling, feasibility studies, risk assessments, and design packages.
• Mentor and develop junior staff, fostering collaboration and knowledge sharing across the practice.
