Job summary

Jobgether SRL, listed on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior Project Manager - Institutional Studio in the United States. Based in New York City, this senior leadership role leads complex cultural, institutional and higher education projects.

You will guide multidisciplinary teams, manage scope, schedules, budgets, contracts, and client engagement from planning through completion, with a strong emphasis on design judgment and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 15 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience managing historic and existing buildings.
• Experience with cultural, institutional, or higher education clients.
• Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently or lead a large institutional project.
• Strong client relationships and communication skills.
• Experience managing scope, fees, budgets, schedules, contracts, and staffing.
• Strong design judgment with solid technical knowledge.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across project phases.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary client liaison across multiple projects or a large-scale project.
• Build and maintain client relationships; guide stakeholders through complex decisions.
• Oversee schedules, budgets, contracts, invoicing, and overall financial performance.
• Monitor progress, anticipate risks, and resolve delivery issues.
• Estimate fees, define scopes, and prepare proposals and contracts.
• Prepare and lead presentations for clients and boards.
• Communicate design concepts, technical considerations, and priorities clearly.
• Collaborate with architects/designers to set milestones and timelines.
• Plan staffing across projects, balancing workloads and requirements.
• Coordinate internal teams and external consultants to maintain continuity.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and feedback to project teams.
• Support professional development; foster collaboration and accountability.
