Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead ground-up construction projects in Milwaukee and surrounding areas. You will drive all phases from planning through completion, ensuring on-time delivery within budget and to quality standards.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of project management in GC environments, focuses on ground-up commercial/retail work, and holds a related degree. PMP certification is a plus and travel to various sites may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 3+ years of PM experience in ground-up commercial/retail construction.
• PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all phases of construction projects from planning to completion, on time and within budget.
• Coordinate architects, engineers and contractors to meet objectives.
• Manage and supervise construction teams, subs, and laborers.
• Prepare and present project proposals, reports and docs.
• Conduct risk assessments and implement solutions.
• Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers.
• Perform site inspections and coordinate adjustments.
• Resolve project-related issues and complaints.

2. A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Project Manager in the Construction industry, with a focus on ground-up commercial and retail construction projects, including Big Box Retail, Health Club, Restaurants, etc.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, materials, and legal regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
6. Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
7. Proficiency in project management software.
8. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
9. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to various construction sites.
10. PMP or equivalent certification would be considered an advantage.
