Job summary

PrideStaff is seeking a Project Manager for commercial construction projects in HVAC and plumbing. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing projects from preconstruction through closeout, while managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, procurement, field operations, and client communications.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in mechanical contracting and construction project management, can read drawings, develop timely schedules, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of commercial plumbing and HVAC project management experience.
• Experience reading construction drawings and specifications.
• Strong knowledge of project scheduling and budgeting.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple plumbing and HVAC construction projects simultaneously.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using project management software.
• Review contract documents, specifications, and mechanical drawings.
• Coordinate project kickoff meetings and establish project objectives.
• Monitor project progress and proactively resolve issues impacting schedule or budget.
• Manage project closeout, commissioning, warranties, and final documentation.
• Develop and maintain project budgets.
• Track job costs, labor productivity, equipment, and material expenses.
• Prepare monthly cost forecasts and financial reports.
• Manage change orders from pricing through execution.
• Review invoices, subcontractor pay applications, and purchase orders.
• Maximize project profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction.
• Work closely with Superintendents and Foremen to coordinate manpower and resources.
• Schedule equipment deliveries and material procurement.
• Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor quality, productivity, and safety.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical and installation challenges.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, general contractors, architects, and engineers.
• Lead project meetings and provide progress updates.
• Build long-term relationships through exceptional customer service.
• Address client concerns promptly and professionally.
• Promote a strong safety culture and ensure OSHA compliance.
• Ensure projects meet company quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, balancing, and commissioning.
• Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing, mechanical, and building codes.
• Manage RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and project correspondence.
• Maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Prepare project status reports and executive updates.
• Coordinate project turnover packages and as-built documentation.
