Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Review contract language and negotiate acceptable language.
• Coordinate setup of awarded jobs with detailed estimate breakdowns and supporting documents.
• Maintain scheduling and progress, including timetables for subcontractors and equipment deliveries.
• Oversee cost control to ensure project profitability.
• Prepare detailed scopes for subcontractors, materials and equipment purchases.

Job description

Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager who will be responsible for managing HVAC and plumbing projects. They work to ensure that projects are estimated, sold, coordinated and completed in a timely, efficient, effective and profitable manner. The Project Manager provides leadership and serves as the liaison between project team members.

Major Activities:

• Provide estimates, sales, customer development and target marketing for HVAC and plumbing projects.
• Ensure that projects are coordinated and completed in a timely, efficient and profitable manner adhering to the company safety program.
• Update the status of proposals and follow up on any open proposals with clients.
• Review contract language and negotiate acceptable language.
• Coordinate the set up any awarded jobs. Provide proper estimate breakdowns and all supporting documents (vendor quotes etc.).
• Responsible to maintain scheduling and progress of the project including the required timetables for work performed by subcontractors and equipment deliveries. Overseeing cost control to ensure profitability of the project.
• Prepare detailed scopes for subcontractors, material and equipment purchases.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, business, or a related field (or equivalent experience) or 10 years of experience in construction or service operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of construction service, maintenance, and warranty operations.
• Proven experience managing budgets, teams, and operational processes.
• Experience in commercial construction or specialty trades.
• Familiarity with service management software and ERP systems.
• Professional certifications (PMP, CCM, or similar).
• Ability to visit job sites and service locations as needed.
• Occasional lifting, standing, and walking on construction sites.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally or regionally.
