Job summary

Engtal in Chicago, IL is seeking a Senior Project Manager to own large-scale commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout.

A well-established general contractor in the Chicago area is looking to add an experienced Senior Project Manager to its growing team. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to take ownership of large-scale commercial projects while continuing to grow within a strong organization.

What You’ll Do

• Lead commercial construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage project budgets, schedules, contracts, and overall financial performance
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and field teams
• Oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, procurement, and project documentation
• Work closely with Superintendents to ensure projects stay on schedule and within budget
• Manage and mentor Project Managers, APMs, and Project Engineers
• Maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle

What We’re Looking For

• Strong experience managing commercial construction projects
• Proven experience as a Project Manager or Senior Project Manager with a general contractor
• Ability to independently manage projects from start to finish
• Strong understanding of scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor management, and construction operations
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience managing large-scale and complex projects preferred
