Job summary

Ergon Inc. in Flowood, MS seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead high‑value capital projects from concept through commissioning in our Energy & Specialty Solutions unit.

You will partner with operations, engineering, contractors and leadership to ensure safety, quality, budget, and schedule align with business goals. The role requires 7+ years of project management experience in engineering or refining environments, a relevant engineering degree, and strong leadership, communication

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil preferred) or related technical discipline.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible project management experience in engineering, manufacturing, industrial, refining, chemical processing, or related industries.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple capital projects within scope, schedule, budget, and quality.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction practices, project controls, procurement and contractor management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation and organizational skills.
• Ability to travel as needed to support project execution.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.

Responsibilities

• Lead capital projects from initial concept through design, procurement, construction, startup and closeout.
• Develop and manage project execution plans, schedules, budgets and resources.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Establish project scopes, objectives and technical requirements and manage changes.
• Monitor performance, identify risks, mitigate, and report status to stakeholders.
• Manage procurement, contractor selection, contract administration and vendor performance.
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, regulatory and company standards.
• Review designs, construction progress, commissioning, and project documentation for quality and readiness.
• Support business case development, capital authorization, and financial tracking.
• Drive continuous improvement in execution processes and cost effectiveness.
• Foster collaboration across functions and mentor junior team members.
• Participate in due diligence for acquisitions and expansions.
