Job summary

Our client, a manufacturer of water treatment chemicals and other specialty chemicals, seeks a Senior Project Engineer to manage an individual portfolio of capital projects from concept through commissioning and start-up in the Starkville, Mississippi area.

You will coordinate scope, schedule, budget, and execution, work with Operations, Environmental, Safety, and vendors, and frequently travel to job sites, with hands-on involvement in FEED, P&IDs, PFDs, and plant support.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of engineering experience focused on project management, plant operations, or process design.
• Experience independently managing capital projects cradle to grave (scope, schedule, budget, execution).
• Experience with projects typically $1M–$15M, with ability to support larger projects.
• Hands-on with cost estimating, FEED, P&IDs/PFDs, equipment/vendor selection, procurement, construction oversight, commissioning, start-up.
• Strong knowledge of mass and energy balances, hydraulic analysis, equipment sizing, process modeling, heat-transfer calculations.

Responsibilities

• Manage an individual portfolio of projects from concept through commissioning and start-up.
• Coordinate with Operations, Environmental, Transportation, Safety, contractors, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Provide clear project updates, schedules, and cost reports; maintain thorough technical communication.
