Job summary

DJ&A in Vancouver, WA seeks a Senior Project Manager specializing in business development. You will lead strategy development, pursue opportunities, manage key client relationships, and coordinate with senior leadership to expand our civil engineering practice.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in civil engineering or surveying, professional licensure, leadership experience, and willingness to travel within WA/OR.

Qualifications

• Professional licensure in respective professional discipline (engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, planning, etc.).
• Proven ability to successfully develop and maintain client relationships, securing new work.
• 15+ years of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Participate in strategy development, strategic pursuit development, competitor analysis, and market research to identify growth opportunities.
• Support business development activities through early client interaction, scope development, interviews, and ongoing client relationships.
• Partner with office manager and SLT on key growth initiatives and strategies.
• Cultivate relationships with existing and potential clients and serve as client manager for specific relationships.
• Lead proposal development, including differentiators and win themes, and ensure alignment with winning strategy.
• Attend marketing updates and keep opportunities current in tracking systems.
• Assign and review staff work, provide technical guidance and training to staff.
