Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller Design Group in Raleigh seeks an experienced Project Manager to drive capital projects from concept through startup. You will collaborate with engineers, architects, and clients, delivering high-quality solutions across pharma, biotech, and industrial operations.

The role requires strong client management, leadership, and the ability to guide teams through design and construction phases while maintaining schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

• Eight years of project management and engineering experience on capital projects.
• Experience with pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device projects (preferred).
• Broad knowledge of civil/site, structural, mechanical, electrical disciplines.
• Plant engineering experience (preferred).
• Experience with facility utility design for manufacturing and distribution.
• Strong presentation and client relationship skills.
• Proficiency with MS Excel, MS Word, and MS Project.
• Willingness to travel for project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Assist and lead teams to support capital projects and drive client value.
• Manage MEP design-build and design/bid/build projects for pharma and industrial ops.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, designers, and site staff.
• Lead project execution from concept to startup.
• Prepare plans, specifications, and contract documents.
• Oversee timelines, budgets, scope changes, and risk.
