Seven Executive Limited is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead data centre HVAC projects across Virginia and North Carolina. You will oversee planning, budgeting, scheduling, and stakeholder coordination to deliver mission-critical cooling systems.

The role requires coordinating with customers, consultants, and subcontractors, ensuring safety and quality while meeting deadlines. Travel to active sites and client meetings is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in mechanical/building services/construction management or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience in HVAC, MEP or mission-critical environments.
  • Experience delivering HVAC/mechanical projects in data centres or critical infra environments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full lifecycle of data centre HVAC projects from award to handover.
  • Develop and maintain schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, and commissioning.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor performance and ensure delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Manage risks, issues, and change orders.

Job Summary

The Project Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of data centre HVAC projects from project award through commissioning and final handover. The successful candidate will manage all aspects of project execution including planning, scheduling, budgeting, client communication, subcontractor management, risk mitigation, and project reporting.

Working closely with customers, consultants, contractors, commissioning teams, and internal stakeholders, you will ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the full lifecycle of data centre HVAC projects from project award through final handover.
  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, forecasts, and resource plans.
  • Coordinate engineering, manufacturing, logistics, site installation, and commissioning activities.
  • Lead project meetings with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor project performance and ensure delivery against contractual obligations.
  • Manage project risks, issues, and change orders.
  • Oversee subcontractors and site installation teams.
  • Review technical documentation, drawings, specifications, and project deliverables.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, quality, and environmental requirements.
  • Support commissioning activities and final project acceptance processes.
  • Prepare and present regular project status reports to customers and senior management.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Required Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of project management experience within HVAC, MEP, mechanical construction, or mission-critical environments.
  • Proven experience delivering HVAC, cooling, or mechanical projects within data centres or other critical infrastructure environments.
  • Strong understanding of chilled water systems, air handling units, HVAC controls, commissioning processes, and mechanical equipment.
  • Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and site-based construction activities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and contractual documents.
  • Strong commercial and financial awareness.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications
  • PMP, PRINCE2, APMP, or equivalent project management certification.
  • Experience working with hyperscale, colocation, or enterprise data centre clients.
  • Knowledge of CRAH, CRAC, fan wall, and liquid cooling technologies.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
  • OSHA 30, OSHA 10, or equivalent safety certification.

Travel Requirements
