Job summary

CyberCoders leads large-scale data centre construction and commissioning projects from planning through closeout in mission-critical environments. The role coordinates mechanical, electrical, and plumbing scopes, drives cost control, and ensures uptime and compliance with technical standards.

With 10+ years in data centre delivery and strong leadership, you will manage trades, oversee safety and quality, and report progress to stakeholders while aligning commercial objectives and client

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management or related field; mechanical engineering degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive construction and project management experience, with a minimum of 5 years focused on data centre or mission-critical facilities.
  • Proven experience with hyperscale data centre projects, mechanical/HVAC systems, plumbing and piping integration.
  • Strong financial acumen and experience with project finances, accounting processes, cost control and commercial contract management.
  • Demonstrated expertise in trade coordination, labour management and construction management best practices.
  • Experience with project controls tools (MS Project, Primavera P6, BIM/REVIT) and familiarity with commissioning processes for mission-critical systems.
  • Certifications such as PMP, PE or equivalent are highly desirable.
  • Excellent leadership, negotiation and stakeholder communication skills; ability to drive teams to meet schedule and quality targets.
  • Proven capability in risk management, quality assurance and enforcing safety standards on construction sites.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites and work extended hours during critical phases of project delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Lead all phases of data centre projects from pre-construction to closeout.

  • Drive commissioning and start-up to validate performance.
  • Mentor project teams and manage vendor relationships.
  • Communicate status with clients and stakeholders; prepare reports.

Job description

Position Overview

Lead and deliver large-scale data centre construction and commissioning projects from planning through closeout. Responsible for schedule, budget, quality, safety and stakeholder management for mission‑critical and hyperscale environments. Coordinate mechanical, electrical and plumbing scopes, control costs and risks, and align commercial and financial objectives while ensuring uptime and compliance with technical standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage all phases of data centre projects including pre‑construction, procurement, construction, commissioning and closeout for mission‑critical and hyperscale facilities.
  • Develop, maintain and drive project schedules and budgets; implement cost control measures and report financial status to stakeholders.
  • Coordinate multi‑trade construction activities, including mechanical, HVAC, plumbing, piping and electrical contractors, ensuring efficient trade coordination and labour management.
  • Oversee construction management activities on‑site, enforce safety, quality and compliance with engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Lead risk management efforts: identify, mitigate and track technical, schedule and commercial risks to protect project delivery and uptime objectives.
  • Partner with estimating, commercial and accounting teams to manage contracts, change orders, invoicing, cash flow and other financial controls.
  • Collaborate with mechanical engineering and design teams to review MEP systems, HVAC strategies and mission‑critical redundancy requirements.
  • Drive commissioning and start‑up activities to validate system performance, reliability and operational readiness.
  • Mentor and lead project teams, subcontractor relationships and vendors, fostering high‑performance and accountability.
  • Communicate regularly with clients, owners, and internal stakeholders; produce status reports, executive summaries and presentations.
