Job summary

CF Evans Construction, a leading multifamily builder in the Carolinas, is seeking experienced professionals to join our Raleigh team. You will reinforce safety, quality, and schedule programs while guiding project planning and customer relations.

The role requires a 4-year degree in construction and an OSHA 30 card, with 5–10 years of multifamily construction experience. Travel and after-hours work may be required. Competitive compensation and growth opportunities offered.

Responsibilities

  • Reinforce and assist with safety, quality, and schedule/production management programs and lead project planning.
  • Review contract documents and ensure team understanding of IFC drawings, specs, and submittals.
  • Oversee subcontract and purchasing administration; identify risks and resolve RFIs promptly.
  • Develop and lead 3-week schedule, project controls, meetings, and communications.
  • Maintain costs within budget, handle change events, and track monthly financials.
  • Utilize technology tools to improve efficiency and performance.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
  • Reinforce and assist with CF Evans Construction corporate safety, quality, and schedule/production management programs, and lead, implement, and enforce project planning and customer service programs for the project work and foster cooperative partner relationships.
  • Oversee, review and ensure entire project team has a thorough understanding of project‑specific contract documents (specifically IFC drawings, specifications, submittals, etc.) for the work of the project.
  • Ensure bidding, award, preparation, and execution of subcontracts and purchase orders are administered efficiently; proactively identify and isolate risks and solve problems, resolving RFIs and RFCOs promptly.
  • Develop, implement, and lead contract and 3‑week schedules; project controls for subcontract trade work, vendor‑supplied materials, equipment, services, and third‑party activities, including pre‑planning, monitoring, and inspection; bi‑weekly owner/architect meetings; weekly and daily coordination meetings; contingency plans; client, architect, and project communications.
  • Ensure all costs of the construction process remain within the client’s budget, including cost estimating, cost reporting, cost break‑outs, pay requests, cash flow analysis, change orders, and monthly project financials; account for costs attributed to all change events, non‑conformance, delays and rework for the work of the project; ensure required documentation for all change events.
  • Proficiently utilize and leverage technology tools and solutions to ensure consistent and reliable results, gain efficiencies, and improve project team performance; lead best practices.
  • Reinforce and ensure daily goal setting and accountability with subcontractor and vendor partnerships by setting direction, aligning resources, and motivating and inspiring; lead best practices.
Qualifications
  • Education & Certification – 4‑year degree in Construction Science Management or equivalent degree/experience; OSHA 30 completion card.
  • Recommended Work Experience – 5–10 years relevant experience in multifamily construction.
  • Physical Demands – Prolonged standing, sitting, walking, climbing, balancing, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, reaching (with arms and hands), handling, talking, hearing, depth perception, lifting, vision (close, peripheral, depth, ability to adjust focus), and lifting/moving up to 35+ pounds.
  • Working Conditions – Considerable local and non‑local travel may be required; work with a group and/or team; frequent conflict situations may be present; work after normal business hours; potential hazardous work; frequent exposure to extreme outside weather conditions and high levels of noise.
