Job summary

CF Evans Construction in the Carolinas seeks an Estimator to lead preconstruction activities for multiple negotiated multifamily projects. You will prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budgets from concept through final design, and participate in bid reviews and client meetings.

Coordinate pricing with construction teams, manage subcontractor and vendor negotiations, and provide value engineering options to support safe, high-quality project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience leading preconstruction estimates for multifamily or commercial projects.
• Ability to prepare quantities, cost estimates, and budgets from concept to design.
• Strong coordination with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Experience in bid reviews and value engineering.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform portions of estimates for multiple projects, including quantity takeoffs and cost estimation.
• Prepare budgets and participate in bid reviews and client meetings.
• Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and vendor negotiations.
• Coordinate pricing with construction services teams and project stakeholders.
• Develop phasing and sequencing plans in consultation with operations.

Description Of Position

The Estimator will lead activities associated with multiple prospective projects simultaneously during the preconstruction phase of primarily negotiated multifamily construction projects.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

• Ensure enforcement / compliance of CF Evans Construction’s corporate safety, quality, and schedule / production management programs, as well as lead and direct project planning and customer service programs for projects. Foster and ensure cooperative and collaborative internal and external partner relationships.
• Lead and / or perform portions of estimates for projects including understanding scope and performing accurate quantity surveys.
• Prepare quantity take-offs, cost estimates, and budgets from concept through final design.
• Participate in bid reviews, client meetings, and project handoff to the operations team.
• Solicit, evaluate, and manage subcontractor and vendor negotiations.
• Ability to build relationships with owners, architects, and subcontractors.
• Demonstrate support of project teams throughout the preconstruction process including budgeting, estimating, scheduling, value analysis, and design management; Provide Value Engineering options as necessary.
• Coordinate pricing efforts with the construction services teams and the Safety Manager for construction assemblies and logistics.
• Develop or further enhance phasing and sequencing plans, in consultation with Operations.
