Job summary

Metric Geo in Miami is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead municipal water and wastewater projects across South Florida, guiding them from planning and design through construction and delivery.

This client-facing role focuses on project delivery, team leadership, technical quality and developing long-term relationships with municipal clients. A PE license or Florida licensure within six months is required; Master’s degree and 12+ years of experience are preferred.

Company Overview

A leading global engineering business specialising in sustainable infrastructure, water and environmental solutions is looking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to join its Water Team in Miami

The Role

The successful candidate will lead municipal water and wastewater infrastructure projects across Miami-Dade County and South Florida, managing projects from planning and design through to construction and delivery.

This is a client-facing role with responsibility for project delivery, team leadership, technical quality and developing long-term relationships with municipal clients.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage water and wastewater treatment facilities, pump/lift stations, and water distribution and wastewater collection systems.
• Lead multidisciplinary project teams from concept through completion.
• Manage project scopes, budgets, schedules and construction documentation.
• Build and maintain relationships with municipal clients across South Florida.
• Mentor junior engineers and support technical development within the team.
• Support business development, proposals and new project opportunities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
• 10+ years of relevant water/wastewater engineering experience.
• Experience managing municipal water, wastewater or stormwater infrastructure projects.
• Strong client-facing and project management skills.
• Professional Engineer (P.E.) licence, or ability to obtain Florida licensure within six months.

Preferred: Master's degree and 12+ years of experience managing municipal infrastructure projects.

Ideal Background
