Job summary

Blayze Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead data center and mission critical construction projects in Dallas, coordinating with owners, architects, engineers, vendors and subcontractors. The role emphasizes budgets, schedules, procurement, RFIs, submittals and risk management.

The ideal candidate has GC leadership experience on data center builds, with hands-on control of subcontracting, procurement, change orders and commissioning readiness.

Responsibilities

• Lead data center/mission critical construction projects from preconstruction through closeout
• Manage subcontractor buyout, contract negotiation, scope review and subcontract administration
• Write, negotiate and manage subcontract agreements, purchase orders and change orders
• Coordinate with owners, architects, engineers, trade partners, vendors and internal teams
• Drive project schedules, procurement logs, submittals, RFIs, cost reporting and risk management
• Oversee MEP-heavy coordination, white space delivery, infrastructure installation and commissioning readiness
• Manage subcontractor performance, field progress, quality, safety and closeout documentation
• Lead client meetings, OAC meetings, executive reporting and project financial reviews
• Mentor junior PMs and project staff as projects scale

Senior Project Manager | Data Center / Mission Critical Construction

$180,000 - $250,000 base salary + bonus, benefits and long-term progression

Blayze Group is partnering with a leading commercial General Contractor to appoint a Senior Project Manager to help deliver complex data center and mission critical construction projects.

This is a key hire for a business with a strong pipeline of technically demanding work. The role is suited to someone who understands the pressure, pace and coordination required on mission critical projects, but also has the hands‑on General Contractor‑side experience to manage subcontractors, contracts, procurement, schedules, budgets and client expectations from start to finish.

The ideal background is someone who has been close to data center builds, white space construction, technical infrastructure, MEP-heavy coordination, commissioning readiness, RFIs, submittals, procurement, logistics and safety, with the ability to lead multiple stakeholders through highly sequenced construction delivery. This is the type of profile reflected in John’s background, where he has supported data center infrastructure programs across 2 national and 16 regional data centers, including white space construction, RFPs, estimating, budgeting, master schedules, procurement, submittals, RFIs and vendor/subcontractor coordination.

The Role

What We’re Looking For

• Senior Project Manager or strong Project Manager background with a commercial General Contractor
• Proven experience delivering data center, mission critical, critical infrastructure or technically complex commercial projects
• Strong understanding of subcontractor buyout, subcontract writing, negotiation and management
• Experience managing RFIs, submittals, change orders, pay applications, procurement and closeout
• Strong MEP coordination experience, ideally across power, cooling, low voltage, security, controls or technical infrastructure
• Ability to manage complex schedules, competing stakeholders and fast‑moving project demands
• Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, P6, Smartsheet or similar software experience
• Strong communication style with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors and senior leadership
