Our client is seeking a Senior Healthcare Project Manager II to support the implementation of a new Medicare line of business. The Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO) Project Manager II is responsible for managing moderate- to high-complexity enterprise-level and non-enterprise projects, including a QNXT implementation, involving interdepartmental and external stakeholder teams throughout the project lifecycle.

This role involves managing projects using industry-standard methodologies to ensure scope, cost, schedule, and contractual obligations are met. Leadership skills such as process improvement, team building, negotiations, decision making, problem solving, and conflict management are essential.

The position is 100% remote, with some work and meetings in central California.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage cross-functional projects from inception to implementation.
  2. Collaborate with EPMO staff across all project phases.
  3. Implement and communicate project management methodologies.
  4. Interface with project sponsors to align goals, scope, and deliverables.
  5. Maintain relationships with stakeholders through meetings and updates.
  6. Provide project status reports to governance bodies.
  7. Draft and maintain project documentation using templates.
  8. Identify and manage project deliverables, dependencies, and milestones.
  9. Manage changes, issues, risks, and develop contingency plans.
  10. Conduct post-implementation reviews and document lessons learned.
  11. Support development of project management tools and educate department leads.
  12. Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years managing complex projects, preferably in healthcare.
  • Medicare experience is required.
  • PMP certification preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal, leadership, and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools.
  • Self-motivated with good judgment.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and project planning software, including Smartsheet.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of software development lifecycle.
  • Preferred: Extensive knowledge of managed care operations and Medicare.
