Job summary

kW Mission Critical Engineering, a WSP company, is seeking an Assistant Vice President, Project Manager in Milwaukee, WI. You will lead engineers from initiation through completion, coordinating with clients, preparing proposals, managing budgets, and ensuring on-time delivery.

The role requires 10+ years in project/program management on large engineering or construction projects, plus strong leadership and communication skills. A PMP is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in Project and/or Program Management on large engineering/construction projects.
• Experience leading multi-disciplinary teams and managing scope, cost, and quality within deadlines.
• Excellent written and oral communication, including senior management presentations.
• Strategic thinking with the ability to manage deadlines and change.

Responsibilities

• Lead multi-disciplinary teams of Engineers, Designers and other staff to complete multiple projects.
• Prepare work plans, proposals, and schedules and obtain management/client approvals.
• Lead regular client communications on project status and quality; resolve issues promptly.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, KPI tracking and change management.
• Oversee invoicing, subconsultant agreements, and project closeout activities.
