Job summary

Midwest Machinery is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager/Operations Manager to lead the execution of large, complex, and strategically important projects. This is a hands-on leadership role that balances project delivery with financial performance, customer commitments, and operational priorities.

The successful candidate will own assigned projects from turnover through procurement, scheduling, delivery, commissioning coordination, and closeout.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in project management, operations, construction, HVAC, or related field.
• Experience managing large, complex, multi-year projects with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong financial acumen: budgeting, forecasting, gross-margin, cash flow.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage vendors/subcontractors.
• PMP/Lean/Six Sigma or related certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead projects from planning through closeout with accountability for schedule, scope, quality, and financials.
• Develop detailed project plans, procurement matrices, and milestone schedules; coordinate vendors.
• Manage customer relationships with proactive communication and issue resolution.
• Coordinate engineering, procurement, suppliers, logistics, and field operations as applicable.
• Review contracts and purchase orders to identify obligations, risks and actions.
• Oversee procurement, purchasing, and billing; maintain budgets and cash-flow visibility.
• Establish and enforce project management processes and documentation standards.
• Coach and develop project teams and drive continuous improvement.
