Job summary

Duke Energy is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects from approval through commercial operation and closeout. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 7+ years relevant experience or 11 years with HS/GED as alternative
• MBA/Master's degree and professional certifications are preferred
• Experience leading complex capital projects in utility-scale environments is expected

Responsibilities

• Lead utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects from approval to operation
• Own project performance across safety, scope, cost, schedule, quality, and risk
• Manage EPC contractor relationships and ensure contractual commitments are met
• Coordinate owner scope, equipment readiness, grid interconnection, and asset turnover
• Manage budgets, forecasts, contingencies, change management and contract compliance
• Lead commissioning, startup, and commercial operation activities and project closeout
• Provide transparent reporting to senior leadership and manage key stakeholders
