Job summary

Duke Energy in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a Senior Project Manager to lead utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects from approval to operation. You will own project performance across safety, scope, cost, schedule, and risk, guiding multidisciplinary teams and coordinating with EPC contractors and internal stakeholders.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will manage interfaces, grid interconnection, asset readiness, commissioning, turnover, and handover while ensuring

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent experience in a related field.
• Ten or more years of progressively responsible experience leading complex capital projects.
• Experience delivering utility-scale solar, battery energy storage, or related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead utility-scale solar and battery energy storage projects from project approval through commercial operation and closeout.
• Manage EPC contractor relationships and ensure safety, quality, schedule and budget adherence.
• Coordinate owner scope, grid interconnection, and asset readiness activities.
• Provide executive reporting and risk management; align stakeholders across functions.
• Drive commissioning, turnover, and long-term asset performance.
