Position Overview

C&S is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to join our Fuel Facility team. The location is flexible; working at a C&S office is preferred, but remote work is negotiable. The Senior Project Engineer will build strong relationships with clients and professionals in the fueling systems industry, generate project opportunities, and manage fueling systems projects. The role involves working with a multidisciplinary design team to deliver projects across aviation, automotive, and related fueling systems markets.

Position Responsibilities

• Develop effort budgets and schedules for project pursuits.
• Build relationships with existing and prospective clients and professionals.
• Generate new project opportunities.
• Optimize processes for efficiency, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness, applying advanced problem-solving techniques.
• Ensure all projects comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry standards and government regulations.
• Implement and oversee quality assurance protocols, conducting reviews and audits of project deliverables.
• Champion safety and risk management practices throughout project lifecycles, developing mitigation strategies.
• Develop P&IDs for various fueling systems, including aviation, automotive, heating oil, and emergency generators.
• Communicate effectively with all stakeholders to ensure clarity on project progress and issues.
• Mentor less experienced engineers and support their professional development.
• Adhere to safe work practices in compliance with all standards.
• Report incidents, hazards, and unsafe conditions promptly.

Skills, Education, and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical, environmental, industrial engineering, or similar.
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience with flammable and combustible liquids fueling systems projects.
• PE license preferred or willingness to pursue one.
• Understanding of fueling systems engineering principles and tools.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of industry standards, safety regulations, and environmental laws.
• Ability to write P&ID sequences and operational processes.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Proficiency in Bluebeam (or similar), Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook; experience with AutoCAD/Revit is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Estimated range: $104,000 - $135,000/year*
