Job summary

Henderson Scott US in New York City seeks a Project Executive to lead large-scale affordable housing rehabilitation programs. You will oversee multiple teams from preconstruction to closeout, develop strategy, and ensure adherence to budget, schedule, and quality while maintaining strong relationships with owners and public agencies.

The role requires a proven track record in managing high-value projects (> $100M) and deep knowledge of NYC codes and construction operations.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of construction management experience.
• 5+ years in a Project Executive/Director or equivalent leadership role.
• Experience delivering large-scale affordable housing, multifamily, or mixed-use rehabilitation projects in NYC.
• Experience managing projects exceeding $100M in value.
• Proficiency with NYC agencies (DOB, HPD, NYCHA, HUD, DOT, FDNY) is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide executive oversight across multiple affordable housing rehabilitation projects from preconstruction through closeout.
• Develop and execute project strategies aligning with schedule, budget, quality, and client objectives.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, cost control, risk management, and financial performance across multiple projects.
• Build and maintain relationships with owners, subcontractors, architects, consultants, and public agencies.
• Mentor and support Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams to drive collaboration and project success.
• Ensure compliance with NYC building codes, permitting requirements, safety standards, and quality expectations.
• Oversee project documentation including contracts, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and reporting.
• Drive continuous improvement through best practices and operational efficiencies.
