Hawk, Inc. is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team as we approach a strategic acquisition. You will review bid documents, analyze drawings, and prepare detailed estimates for foodservice equipment projects.

Strong communication and proactive problem solving help secure profitable bids. In this fast-paced, growth-oriented environment, you will coordinate with vendors, attend pre-bid meetings, and help drive bid win percentage.

Qualificações

• Experience in foodservice equipment estimating or construction estimating.
• Strong math skills and analytical mindset.
• Ability to read architectural drawings and written specifications.
• Proactive problem solving and value-engineering ideas appreciated.
• Experience with bid/tender processes and vendor coordination.

Responsabilidades

• Review bid documents and pricing for detailed equipment estimates and proposals.
• Analyze drawings, schedules, and specs to estimate time, cost, materials, and labor.
• Solicit and review pricing from vendors and subcontractors; provide VE options.
• Attend pre-bid meetings and scope reviews; communicate capabilities to GC/architects.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to transition contracts and kick-off projects.

Job description:

The Estimator reviews bid documents and requests pricing for the purpose of preparing detailed foodservice equipment estimates and bid proposals. In this role, you will review project plans to assess costs, resources and timelines with an analytical mindset to provide precise and comprehensive estimates.

Essential Functions:

• Request and review foodservice equipment bid packages
• Help to evaluate bid opportunities
• Attend pre-bid meetings or walk-throughs as necessary
• Analyze drawings and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates
• Solicit and review pricing from vendors and subcontractors
• Ability to provide value-engineering options as necessary
• Compile estimates and detailed bid proposals
• Follow-up timely on bids submitted
• Attend scope review meetings to discuss scope of work with general contractors and have ability to sell TKG’s capabilities and project experience
• Upon receipt of a contract, review scope of work and schedule. Coordinate with Project Manager and Project Coordinator
• Schedule kick-off meeting to transition job to Project Coordinator and Project Manager
• Assist with vendor negotiations
• Build strong positive relationships with customers, vendors, and company personnel
• Research questions as they arise
• Keep up with product and vendor discount knowledge
• Help to maintain a directory of suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors
• Increase bid win percentage, bid revenue, and gross profit on jobs year after year
• Build relationships with General Contractors, Consultants, and Architects in order to build a book of business
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

• Ability to read architectural drawings and written specifications
• Working knowledge of Bluebeam PDF Revu software (can be learned)
• Previous Foodservice Equipment estimating experience a huge plus
