Job summary

A leading foodservice manufacturer in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a full-time Project Estimator. The ideal candidate will prepare price quotes, assist in ordering, and maintain excellent communication with customers and internal teams. Candidates should have strong interpersonal skills, a commitment to customer service, and experience in drafting or estimating. An Associate’s degree in CAD or similar is required, with a preference for a Bachelor’s degree. Additional experience in the foodservice industry is beneficial.

Job description

Hatco Corporation is an industry leading commercial foodservice manufacturer with several brands under its umbrella. Hatco is seeking a full time Project Estimator to provide quotations and assist in the ordering process for this product category. Duties include assisting and processing quote requests and inquiries for multiple food service, retail, or healthcare projects. Customers will include end users, dealers, architects, general contractors, and a variety of foodservice operators including restaurants, chain accounts, senior living, business in-plant feeding, hotels, hospitals, sports and entertainment venues.

Essential Job Responsibilities

• Preparation of price quotes for contract jobs, both bid & negotiated.
• Ability to read blueprints / spec drawings / scale dimensions.
• Work together with engineering, sales, customer service, and manufacturer reps to assist in coordinating and providing details on jobs.
• Provide timely and accurate estimating & quote preparation.
• Order Entry and Purchase Order generation.
• Generate purchase orders to Hatco supplier (ADM).
• Enter quotations into CRM platform, Salesforce, or other.
• Assistance with job tracking / acknowledgements.
• Directly assist customers and provide training on sneeze guard product line when applicable; maintain a comprehensive understanding of Hatco product line.
• Support the ADM team in the same manner by responding to general inquiry phone calls, orders, and quotations.

Qualifications & Experience

• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have a high level of interpersonal skills and continually demonstrate poise, tact, and diplomacy.
• Must work well under pressure and be able to meet tight deadlines.
• Must be able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Must have general computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Must be able to work with Auto Quotes and have business / ERP system experience.
• Strong commitment to and supportive of high impact customer service.

Educational or Experience Requirements

• Must have Associate’s degree in CAD or similar. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience working in drafting, estimating, or in a project-based role.
• Experience in the foodservice industry, and use of CAD/CREO/REVIT/WINDCHILL or 3D software is a plus.
