Job summary

Fluence is seeking a Project Engineering Manager in the United States to lead a team of engineers across bidding, design, execution, and commissioning for energy storage and renewables projects.

You will collaborate with Sales, Project Management, Procurement, and Construction to deliver cost-effective, technically sound solutions while fostering engineering excellence and continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• The candidate holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Civil or Energy Systems Engineering.
• 5–7 years of engineering experience in renewable energy, energy storage, or related fields.
• 2–5 years of leadership of engineering teams or large projects.
• Hands-on design, installation, or commissioning experience for renewables or storage.
• Experience supporting technical proposals, prelim designs, and cost estimates during bidding.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, PVSyst, WindPro, ETAP and related tools.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop engineers to strengthen technical capabilities and team performance.
• Guide bidding support, preliminary designs, and cost estimates with Sales.
• Oversee transition from bidding to detailed design, execution, and commissioning.
• Ensure schedules, budgets, quality, and customer requirements are met.
• Identify risks, apply mitigation, and drive engineering process improvements.
