Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a dynamic technical leader to drive EO/IR solutions design, development and production. You will lead cross-functional teams, plan for cost and schedule goals, and support the definition, design, and test of electro-optic systems for airborne and ground surveillance.

Responsibilities include coordinating across engineering domains, performing capacity planning, and contributing to bid and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience.
• In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross functional teams typically with 4-10 members.
• Deliver to program cost and schedule goals.
• Plan and request team members in support of current and projected programs.
• Define total systems design, technology, and processes to meet mission requirements.
• Coordinate across functional engineering areas to design, develop and test products, resolve compatibility and interface problems across all subsystems.
• Perform project capacity planning in conjunction with other project leaders and functional managers.
• Support business development activities including bid & proposal cost/schedule generation.
• Evaluate performance measures and ensure system requirements are met.
• Perform subsystem integration, technical risk assessment, technical planning, verification and validation, and supportability analyses.
• Understand, implement, & audit engineering processes on programs and projects.
• Create and update essential engineering documents including processes, specifications, reports, plans, technical memos, and presentations.
• Represent engineering organization both internal and external to the organization.
• Must be able to communicate clearly (written and verbal) to technical and non-technical personnel.
• Ability to obtain US government clearance.
