Job summary

PC Construction in Virginia seeks a Senior Project Engineer with 5+ years' experience in water or wastewater infrastructure to lead project administration, contract management, procurement, cost control, scheduling and document management.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with owners, engineers and subcontractors, oversee RFIs, submittals, change orders, and drive safety, quality and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project engineering experience, preferably in water/wastewater infrastructure.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Strong understanding of contract management, procurement, scheduling, and cost control.

Responsibilities

• Lead project documentation, RFIs, submittals, change orders, and contract administration activities.
• Review plans, specifications, and owner contracts to identify risks and opportunities.
• Coordinate procurement efforts, vendor pricing, subcontract negotiations, and material deliveries.
• Support budget management, owner billings, cost tracking, and schedule updates.
• Collaborate with field teams, owners, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve project challenges.
• Help drive project safety, quality, and schedule performance.
• Mentor and support Project Engineers, Office Engineers, and interns.
