Job summary

Aqua America, Inc. is seeking a Project Engineer III to support our East Texas capital improvement initiatives. You will manage complex water and wastewater projects, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure timely delivery and adherence to budgets.

The role requires a Civil/Environmental Engineering background, a PE license (Texas or eligible), and 6+ years of related experience. You will collaborate with Operations and Asset Management to optimize systems and ensure regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering and PE license in Texas or ability to achieve within 6 months of hire.
• 6+ years of professional experience in Water and/or Wastewater and budget management of projects over $1M.
• Experience with design standards and regulatory requirements (AWWA, TCEQ, OSHA, NEC).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct project management support for capital projects from planning to commissioning.
• Oversee third-party design firms and contract documents for capital investments.
• Ensure capacity, reliability, safety and regulatory compliance across designs.
• Develop master plans and capital planning in coordination with Operations and Asset Management.
• Coordinate with Operations Teams for process improvements and startups as needed.
