Job summary

PRIME AE Group is seeking a Project Engineer III - Water/Wastewater to join our Indianapolis, IN office. You will lead the design and technical delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects, coordinating with clients and multidisciplinary teams.

The role requires a PE license (KY) with 8+ years of experience, expertise in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Civil Suite, and/or MicroStation, and the ability to mentor junior staff while advancing project management duties.

Qualifications

• PE license in Kentucky is required; ability to obtain licensure in additional states is preferred.
• 8+ years of experience in water/wastewater, municipal infrastructure, or site development engineering.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Carlson Civil Suite, and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering design activities related to water and wastewater infrastructure and site development projects.
• Operate site and utility design using Civil 3D and/or Carlson Civil Suite within AutoCAD.
• Perform hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, analyses, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and review engineering drawings, plans, specifications, cost estimates, and contract documents.
• Assist with preparing engineering reports, studies, and system evaluations.
• Coordinate with project managers and design teams to develop construction documents.
• Participate in field visits and site evaluations during design and construction phases.
• Support development of proposals and technical submissions.
• Research and apply local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
