Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior Engineer Project Engineer (PE) / Technical Program Manager (TPM) for a Cedar Rapids team. You will lead engineering efforts across avionics systems, hardware, software, and firmware, coordinating with military customers and multi-disciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical capabilities for warfighters.

The role emphasizes program management, risk mitigation, and earned value oversight, with a focus on schedules, budgets, and customer satisfaction in a DoD

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or advanced STEM degree; typically 8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with avionics systems development, verification/validation, and interfaces.
• EVM experience and government reporting familiarity.
• Experience in Project Management, CAM, and earned value.
• Experience in technical risk & opportunity management; bid/proposal leadership.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary technology and engineering focal point for leadership and the customer on various programs.
• Guide engineering development per Management Systems, Engineering Process, requirements, budget, and schedule.
• Develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and budgets for small to mid-size projects; adjust as needed.
• Provide Earned Value Management (EVM) analysis on assigned programs.
• Lead development and execution of SETR events (PDR, CDR, TRR, etc).
• Define and manage technical risks & opportunities; develop mitigation plans.
