Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a Senior FPGA Engineering Manager (Onsite) in Cedar Rapids to lead a skilled FPGA team in defense technology. You will drive cost, schedule, and technical performance while coordinating with software, hardware, systems design, and program management professionals.

The role requires a US security clearance, substantial leadership experience, and a strategic posture to ensure excellence across development lifecycle and proposal efforts.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a STEM degree and minimum 10 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with minimum 7 years.
• At least 5+ years experience leading engineering teams, including mentoring, task delegation, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience in program execution, including bidding, project planning, Earned Value Management (EVM), and risk management.
• At least 5+ years experience with FPGA/ASIC development.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing FPGA engineering team from entry to senior levels.
• Collaborate across functions to deliver FPGA solutions and build cross-functional relationships.
• Drive product strategy and engineering excellence across the FPGA development lifecycle.
