What You Will Do
  • Gain design experience of Special Test Equipment (STE) while working with electrical and operations engineers to develop complex systems needed to support jet engine testing.
  • Develop and lead a technical design from start to finish.
  • Work closely with a team of mechanical engineers and a project engineer to develop solutions.
  • Anticipated travel is less than 10%.
What You Will Learn

STE systems range from fuel, air, hydraulic & lube systems, structural engine frames, inlet screens and ducts, exhaust collectors, thrust measurement systems, and many other components that are needed to enable jet engine testing.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Enrolled in a program to acquire a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Civil / Structural Engineering & Mechanical Engineers considered) and actively enrolled through the completion of the internship/co-op session.
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Any experience with gas turbine special test equipment and facilities.
  • Any experience with AutoCAD, NX 3D Modeling, ANSYS Workbench, and Microsoft Office Suite.

This position is classified as: Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products. The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
