Hydrasearch in Stevensville, MD is seeking a Senior Project Engineer to accelerate engineering development for aerospace and defense programs. The role is hands-on, focusing on rapid design cycles, validation, and production transition within a small, high-performing team.

The candidate will drive concept-to-solution execution, manage development activities, and ensure ownership and accountability for results. Domestic and international travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 4–8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience in manufacturing or product-based environments.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and development lifecycle understanding.
• Structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience leading projects from concept to implementation.
• Ownership mentality and personal accountability.
• Ability to move quickly with limited information.
• Travel may be required domestically and internationally.
