Job summary

Hydrasearch, a U.S. manufacturer of fluid-transfer and control systems for maritime, aerospace and defense, seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer in Stevensville, MD.

You will lead the design, development and lifecycle support of engineered hardware from concept to production. Requires a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years' experience in mechanical design, with strong CAD, GD&T and manufacturing methods.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of mechanical design, product development, or manufacturing engineering.
• Experience taking ownership of complex projects from concept through production.
• Ability to collaborate with manufacturing personnel, suppliers and cross-functional teams.
• Strong problem-solving and clear technical communication.
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling and drawing creation; GD&T fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex product development from requirements through validation, production release and lifecycle support.
• Design and improve mechanical components and assemblies; create 3D CAD models and drawings; apply GD&T.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing, Quality and production teams to troubleshoot issues and improve processes.
• Lead efforts to improve product quality, reliability, manufacturability, cost and production efficiency.
• Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to communicate requirements and resolve issues.
• Provide guidance to engineers and drafters; support design reviews and knowledge sharing.
