Job summary

Hydrasearch is seeking a Senior Project Engineer in Stevensville, MD to join our team supporting aerospace and defense programs. The role emphasizes rapid development cycles from concept through prototype, validation, and transition to production.

You will act as a hands-on technical contributor, solving complex problems, coordinating development activities, and delivering high-impact engineering work within a small, capable team. Travel may be required domestically and internationally.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.
• 4–8 years of engineering experience.
• Experience working in manufacturing or product-based environments.
• Strong mechanical engineering fundamentals and understanding of the engineering development lifecycle.
• Structured problem solving and root cause analysis.
• Experience bringing technical projects from concept through implementation.
• Ownership mentality and personal accountability for results.
• Ability to move quickly with limited information and operate with uncertainty.
• Travel may be required, both domestically and internationally.
